Storm Thief By Chris Wooding

Storm thief is a science fiction novel with a whole lot of adventure and thrilling action. Its about this place where there is chaos everywhere, and only the storm thief controls everything and as long as people can remember, that's how it's been. The place is called Orokos, and is a futuristic island city, which nobody knows where it is or how to escape from it.

Synopsis: Orokos is a city of chaos. For as long as anyone can remember, the city has been lashed by probability storms, that change anything they touch. Streets are rearranged, children turned to glass, rivers break their banks. Nothing is stable. Everyone is vulnerable.

Rail and Moa: two thieves from the ghettoes. Rail’s been bitter at life ever since the Storm Thief stole his breath. Moa just wants to get away, to a land where things are better. But there is nowhere else other than Orokos, and the city won’t let them leave anyway.

Then they find an artifact: a device that opens doors. Something that anyone in the city would kill for. And it will lead them to the dark secret at the heart of Orokos…
An awesome book that I read long ago, but still remember it and loved it enough to make a review on it. Hope you read and remember this fascinating book like I did!

Eragon By Christopher Paolini

Eragon is the first book in the Inheritance series written by Christopher Paolini. The book takes you into a world of dragon riders, magic, elves, dwarves and humans all in the same place - Alagaesia. The book starts off with just a simple farm boy, which turns into an awesomely stupendous story, unwinding as you continue to read it.

Synopsis: When Eragon finds a polished blue stone in the forest, he thinks it is the lucky discovery of a poor farm boy; perhaps it will buy his family meat for the winter. But when the stone brings a dragon hatchling, Eragon realizes he has stumbled upon a legacy nearly as old as the Empire itself. Overnight his simple life is shattered, and he is thrust into a perilous new world of destiny, magic, and power. With only an ancient sword and the advice of an old storyteller for guidance, Eragon and the fledgling dragon must navigate the dangerous terrain and dark enemies of an Empire ruled by a king whose evil knows no bounds. Can Eragon take up the mantle of the legendary Dragon Riders? The fate of the Empire may rest in his hands. . . .

This book is just breathtaking and makes you want to read more. Magnificent work by Christopher Paolini who started writing this book when he was only 15!

I'll also be sure to write a review on the next part, Eldest.
Hope you read this book and love it as much as I did! :D

Red Pyramid By Rick Riordan

Red Pyramid. A wonderful tale of a brother and a sister who get stuck in a heck of trouble. Egyptian gods, magic spells, curses and traps. Carter and Sadie Kane didn't realize what they're going to be a part of....until their father blew up the British museum. Meeting an old someone who they didn't expect to- their old uncle Amos, who afterwards lead them to what's known as ''The House Of Life''. On the journey, Carter & Sadie discovered magic powers of their own, making them less dependable on gods and goddesses such as Horus - God of sky, war, and protection. Isis - Goddess of motherhood, magic, and fertility. Bast - Goddess of cats. An amazing book, keeps you addicted, I really liked it and I can't wait to read book 2 - The Throne Of Fire, then i'll probably make a review on that. :)

Synopsis: The Red Pyramid is the first novel in The Kane Chronicles series, which tells of the adventures of modern day fourteen-year-old Carter Kane and his twelve-year-old sister Sadie Kane, as they discover that they are descended from the ancient Egyptian pharohs Narmer and Rameses The Great. Carter learns that he is a host of Horus, and Sadie is a host of Isis. The siblings have amulets. Carter has the Eye Of Horus, and Sadie has the Knot Of Isis. Their father, Julius Kane, attempts to summon Osiris through the Rosetta Stone, but also releases the five children of the "Demon Days": Horus, Set, Isis, and Nephthys. Osiris is confined by Set. Soon, Carter and Sadie scramble to Phoenix, Arizona, where they attempt to kill Set, and destroy his Red Pyramid.

Crocodile Tears By Anthony Horowitz

The latest book in the Alex Rider series written by the amazing Anthony Horowitz, Crocodile Tears, is an amazingly gripping book which you just don't want to let go of. If you've read any Alex Rider book before and if you know Anthony Horowitz, you'll know that he puts so much suspense and action into it. While reading, you literally get a feeling of trepidation as to what is going to happen next?

For me this was one of the best out of the best out of the 9 Alex Rider books (though I have yet to read the 9th one). The plot that has been thought of, is GENIUS! The idea of a genetically modified corn that can release a virus so potent it can knock out an entire country in one windy day, is just amazingly thought of. I wouldn't want to reveal much more to you now, so I'll just give the main plot.

Synopsis: Targeted by a hitman and under threat of his past being exposed by the media, Alex reluctantly turns to MI6. But their help doesn't come cheap: they need Alex to spy on the activities at a GM crop plant. There he spots Desmond Cain, a high profile charity organizer, who realizes that Alex is on to him and the real plans for the money he's raising. Kidnapped and whisked off to Africa, Alex learns the full horror of Cain's plot: to create an epic disaster that will kill millions of people. Getting word to MI6 only makes matters worse. Now, before even facing the real enemy, Alex must also stop his own side before they unwittingly trigger the death of a whole nation.

An action packed book everyone should read! :D

Kids, Don't Try This At Home. -.-

Funny Axe :\

Wouldn't it all be just so much easier if they understood us?

How To Read Guitar Tabs

Here I am going to simply teach you how to read guitar tabs, which is extremely easy. I'm a guitar player, and I can't read notes, but I can read tabs! This is for those who are new to guitar and don't know much, but it'll surely help.(Hope it does)

A simple tab would look something like this-

E ---------------------------------------------------------1-2-3-4----------------
B ----------------------------------------------1-2-3-4---------------------------
G -----------------------------------1-2-3-4--------------------------------------
D ------------------------1-2-3-4-------------------------------------------------
A ------------1-2-3-4-------------------------------------------------------------
E -1-2-3-4------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now this is a simple example of an extremely easy tab just to help explain things. As you can see on the left, the letters, which represent the strings on your guitar. The E on the top representing the bottom E string and then making its way up the guitar till the top E string. Now the numbers, on these strings, represent the fret number on which you are supposed to keep your finger on. So this tab would start off with your finger on the 1st fret of the top E string of your guitar then the 2nd fret, then the 3rd fret, and then the 4th fret on the same string.
Now since the first string is explained, all you have to do is follow these instructions on this How -To and you'll be reading the tabs for all the strings perfectly in no time (as long as you practice) ;).
The example of the tab which I have made and given above is also a great exercise for your fingers and will definitely help you with your guitar playing in the future, with techniques like shredding and other stuff.
Now that tab had no such time in which there were to numbers on top of each other, if they did, you would simply play those two notes at the same time, which would probably be chords.
Keep practicing :) (And maybe you'll be as good as me) :D

How To Make Symbols

A great way, and fun way to make symbols is by using HTML coding.
Some cool symbols are right here.
Bullet (•) •
Cent sign (¢) ¢
Copyright sign (©) ©
Degree sign (°) °
Em dash (—) —
Euro symbol (€) €
Heart symbol (♥) ♥
Inverted exclamation (¡) ¡
Inverted question (¿) ¿
Non-breaking space
Pi (π) π
Pound sterling (£) £
Registered trademark sign (®) ®
Section sign (§) §
Trademark sign (™) ™
Umlout o (ö) ö

Now all you have to do is copy the html code at the end, and then paste it wherever you want to.
